Welcome!

Photos from the road to Hana

Honomanu Bay, a gorgeous curve of sand and kukui nut shells, the perfect camp spot. We harvested mollusks for dinner here.

The foliage of a teak tree in a jungly arboretium.

The neatly sectioned taro fields of the Keanae Peninsula. Taro is an ancient hawaiian plant used to make poi, a gelatinous starchy goop that one dips pork meat into. The cultivation method is similar to rice paddies and I've heard harvesting it is really tough.
